Beta vulgaris subsp. cicla var. Flavescens) is also known as 5-color Silverbeet or Bright Lights. Chard is different from other beets as it doesn't have a the underground beet and instead has the beautiful coloured stems and nutritionally dense leaves. Enjoy this delicious leafy vegetable in salads, stir fries or lightly steamed.
